Projects
CCAS is dedicated to long-term energy generation in UK from renewable sources.
CCAS has successfully applied for planning permission on 4 sites in UK, each for 3 mw, using between 20,000-30,000 tonnes of low grade waste wood per annum. We do not use virgin wood or forestry. Each plant will generate the equivalent renewable energy for approximately 5,000 homes, significantly reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Each of these sites is currently a waste wood processing facility which reduces transport and diverts the wood from landfill.
We have also contracted sites and waste wood for a further 11 plants in UK, totalling over 70mw. Again, the aggregate equivalent power generation equates to around 85,000 homes, or a whole town.
We believe this makes CCAS one of the largest independent biomass renewable energy developers in UK.
We have agreed terms with a major utility to co-develop all our sites, helping to ensure the timely construction of the plants and generation of renewable energy.
We are actively pursuing other opportunities for renewable energy generation in UK.
